Yagya Request

Objective is to share and grow collectively on the path of holistic (physical, mental and spiritual) development of all members of our family. Our philosophy is very simple, that is, each one of us makes our own destiny, destiny of our family, destiny of our society and destiny of our world. If we become better, world will become better.

Please submit the request below for any Yagya/Sanskar that you are interested in. Details will be shared upon registration and confirmation. Please feel free to extend the invite to your friends and families. If there are any health concerns, we can conduct the Yagya online via video conferencing (Zoom, Google Meet etc.).

Gayatri Yagya can be done with various Sanskars and special occasions, including

Guidelines & Instructions

  • Please keep the Yagya items (listed below) ready beforehand
  • Gayatri Yagya is being done based on your request, please make sure you are ensuring for utmost safety of your house and yourself/family specially from fire, smoke and other things
  • Plan for sufficient cross ventilation when deciding Yagya location in your home
  • Recommendation is to stay alert in case of any issues while Yagya is going on. In case of issues call 911.
  • Yagya will be performed for free, however your donations are sincerely appreciated (cash, Zelle to AwgpDfw@gmail.com, check payable to “AWGP DFW”,  or Donate button above).
  • Volunteer pickup/drop off may be required depending on the assigned volunteer, day, time.

Yagya Procedures & Materials

Gayatri Yagya (Hindi, English)

  1. TABLE AROUND 3X2 FEET for stage with clean cotton cloth to cover it
  2. FLOWERS for Decoration and for puja offerings
  3. WATER BOWLS WITH SPOONS – 2
  4. KUMKUM / SANDALWOOD POWDER – for puja
  5. KALASH AND (SHRIFAL) DRY COCONUT WITH SHELL (WITHOUT HUSK) on top of it for prayer
  6. MANGO LEAVES (5)  & BETEL LEAVES (10)
  7. INCENSE STICKS (AGARBATTI) – 1 pack
  8. GHEE – 16 oz
  9. LIGHT LAMP (DEEPAK) – 1 main, 5 for aarti
  10. KHEER(SEMI-SOLID) – for offering in Yagya as well as can be for Parsad
  11. ALUMINUM FOIL – for covering yagya kund as well as flooring below it
  12. BETEL NUT (SUPARI) – 1 for puja, 1 for purnahuti (Final oblation)
  13. HAVAN SAMAGRI – powder for oblations (Ahutis) (Grocery stores generally have it)
  14. BOWLS for Havan samagri – 4
  15. KALAWA (Colored thread to be tied around the wrist)
  16. PRASAD – anything you like, fruits etc.
